If you haven’t heard, the second-ever Hospitality’s Got Talent went down at Piano Works in Farringdon - and it was another absolute belter of a night.

This year’s crown went to Luis Henrique Pires De Avila, hospitality assistant at BM Caterers, who blew the crowd away with a soulful, goosebump-inducing performance of INXS’s ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ - complete with a live four-piece band.

Luis said: “I feel super happy and grateful for everything that happened along the whole process. The Wafflemeister guys were super lovely, welcoming and ready to help and, regardless of winning or not, I went to the stage feeling like a winner for representing my BM family of more than 1,000 members. This was really my biggest honour.”

Over 300 hospitality legends from across the industry - including folks from Bidfood, Harri, Wibble Foods, Wafflemeister, Yumpingo, and of course BM Caterers - packed out the venue for a Nashville-themed night of music, laughter and more than a few surprise acts (yes, there was even a magician).

And while the competition was fierce, the good vibes were even stronger. Last year’s champ, Stuart Barnett from Dewberry Redpoint, returned to the stage with a reprise of ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ before passing the torch to Luis.

Rikos Leong-Son, CEO of Wafflemeister, summed it up perfectly: “This has been another incredible year. When we first thought of this concept last year, we never quite appreciated how much the industry would take to it. We know hospitality is full of hugely talented people, and giving them a platform to show off those skills is something we’re really proud of.

More importantly, raising money for two incredible causes is what it’s all about - and we’re so grateful for everyone who supported us along the way.”

The night wasn’t just about killer vocals and dance floor energy - it also raised vital funds through the Wafflemeister Foundation for two amazing charities: the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, driving awareness and change around allergies, and Make-A-Wish, which grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
